About Me

Hello! I’m Liz Fraser and I’m the Coordinator of Children’s Services at a public library outside Boston.  Previously I was a Children’s Librarian/Technology Coordinator at the Ela Area Public Library in Lake Zurich, IL. My MLS is from Indiana University Bloomington and I have worked in children’s services since 2008. I am passionate about early literacy programs and services as well as STEAM and maker programming. I was a member of ALSC‘s Children & Technology committee from 2013-2015. I love middle grade fiction and funny picture books!

  1. Thank you for sharing! I am so glad I have come across your blog. You have inspired me with the self-directed programs (I emailed that link to a colleague), dramatic play programs, and toddler explorers. I have a few questions if you would not mind answering:

    1. What scarf activities do you do with the babies?
    2. The music program that you are no longer doing? You mentioned the size of the program that become unmanageable, is there any advice you would give to someone who wanted to try this?

    1. Thanks for your kind comments! I’ll send you an email with responses to your questions, but for anyone else who’s interested, I’m planning some upcoming posts on using props in storytimes and baby programs. Stay tuned!
